Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium presenting at the 11th ECTMIH Meeting

Consortium partners will participate at the 11th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH) on September 16-20, 2019, in Liverpool (UK).

ECTMIH is the largest scientific European conference on tropical medicine and global health. Hosted by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene this year, ECTMIH will provide a platform for sharing research and innovation, bringing together more than 1500 scientists and experts from across the world.

Under the theme “25 years: investigation, innovation and implementation”, the congress will focus on prevention, treatment, health systems, one health, age-related healthcare, and external factors influencing future health.

The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium will join the conference and present the progress of the program in the context of the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance Symposium at ECTMIH. The Consortium’s presentation by Prof. Dr. N’Goran (Université Félix Houphouët Boigny-Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire) will focus on the clinical development path as well as the challenges of conducting clinical trials in endemic settings. It is planned on Wednesday, September 18th, at 10am.

Consortium partners’ booths throughout the event will also create the opportunity to further engage in a dialogue with the schistosomiasis community to foster awareness of the program as well as to prepare the path to access.
