Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium to participate in WHO webinar on Innovation

The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium is delighted to be participating in the upcoming WHO webinar on Innovation on 18 September. Focusing on the importance of innovation in reaching the 2021–2030 road map targets, speakers from three interactive panels will highlight why innovation is critical in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

Consortium partner, Dr Maurice Odiere, Head of the NTD Unit at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), will represent the Consortium as a panelist. Maurice will speak on the third panel, which will discuss the role of innovation in achieving success against NTDs from a country perspective. In addition to touching on the scope of the Consortium and the innovation behind the pediatric formulation, Maurice will also provide insight into clinical development as the Consortium’s Clinical Trial Principal Investigator in Kenya.

Chair of the Consortium Board, Dr Jutta Reinhard-Rupp, will also be participating in the webinar as a panelist, speaking in her role as Head of the Global Health Institute at Merck.
